Time Truth..

Lying under the stars,
Where it was completely dark,
I heard my mind speak to my heart,
"Is this what you want?", mind asked.

My heart all confused,
And bandaged yet bleeding,
Not understanding what to say, replied,
"I guess not!"

Sunk in the ocean of pains,
Broken as a bottle of wine,
My heart asked the stars,
"Is there a fault in you?"

Brightening up the dark place,
Twinkling like the diamonds,
With an overwhelming smile the stars replied,
"No dear, It's the Time's plan!"

"Yes" said the Time,
"I have given you pains"
"I hurt you for you to realize,
How others feel when you do them the same."

"I am Time,
And I will show you what Life is."
Though Time is your Killer,
Always remember that,
Time is the only Healer.

  1. What a beautiful & unconventional poem this is! And might I add, quite thought-provoking too (: I hate to admit this but I’ve always disagreed every time people told me that time heals everything. I also don’t think that blaming time does any good, we’re always given a choice regardless of the fact that life is predestined. The best we can do is accept that time waits for none. We have to mend our own selves rather than expecting time to gradually fix everything.

Once again, this was a pensive write-up & thanks for putting it out here. ❤

  2. Absolutely well said!
Time’s s killer but also a healer – so very true.
We experience pain, but later are healed to be ready again.
All we can do is just be patient.

Really thoughtful poem, thank you for sharing this Neha.💞
